The latest fashionplate features the Tasch black silk shorts at the bar at Henry at the Life Hotel. Met a gf here to celebrate her passing a professional test. We ended up starting strong with some sauv blanc. We decided to grab some apps as we were drinking. We got the knishes which were very good, and the baked clams because who doesn’t love baked clams. Then I got more wine and she decided together a martini which the bartender comped for her passing her test. So sweet of her. We went on a Friday at 6pm and it was mostly tourists at both the bar and sitting the restaurant side. But we had a great time catching up and fueling up before a night out. See all the ootd and food deets below for this fashionplate!
Check out this week’s fashionplate featuring our white eyelet shorts at the new midtown location of Mad Dog & Beans. I love mexican and I love the downtown location of this spot for happy hour. Sat at the bar and ordered there delish margs and the nachos. I love that their nachos because each chip has beans and lots of cheese on it, so good I kind of want more as I’m writing this. Our bartender Chrissy was so sweet and nice. She was the only one working that day and it was quite busy but she always had a smile. There are a lot of suits here so I was dressed a little too trendy but see how I styled this fashionplate below.
This week’s fashionplate features our pink velvet shorts at the new Whitmans Hudson Yards. Met some friends here for lunch after a much needed day of beauty. This location isn’t as crowded at the original East Village location. We got some beers and wine. I love the burgers but had had a burger the other day so I opted for their philly cheesesteak which is also delish I got double cheese on it because I love cheese. The cheesesteak comes with fries. Burgers do not come with fries. The juicy lucy is also a big hit. The hound is also delish. This location is much bigger and they deliver to me which I love. See how I styled this fashionplate below.

Check out the latest fashionplate featuring our black satin Yasmeen shorts at Fred at Barney’s Downtown! Now you know where you can find me on any given Saturday, accessory shopping at Barney’s in Chelsea. I love my bags and shoes. Had a power brunch here on Saturday. I love a plethora of beverages in the am/early afternoon. Water, iced coffee and a bloody mary is my version of heaven. I opted out of the kale juice this time. We split the fries which cannot be missed here. I got the vegan pizza which was solid and my dining companion had the steak and eggs. Fairly crowded with a stylish crowd. After brunch hit the shoe and and bag departments and took some new babies home with me. See how I styled these shorts for this fashionplate below and all the ootd.
This week’s fashionplate was at Insta superstar spot Cha Cha Matcha right near two other favs- Seamore’s and Goldbar. I was meeting a fellow friend who also works in fashion for a brainstorming and catch up sess and fashion week brainstorming and we decided to check out this very adorable spot to get fully caffeinated. Everything is pink and green and super cute. We snagged a seat in the corner and got to work. I had an iced matcha without milk and sugar which was vvv good and kept me awake. My friend got the matcha cappuccino which she loved. We also split the vegan banana bread and matcha dough’ssant both of which are good. Some people are saying it’s expensive, and while it’s not cheap it’s not more than Starbucks and it has a super cute vibe and friendly service and you can sit and enjoy your matcha or coffee and work or hang out for a bit, a plus in my book. See how I styled this fashionplate and all the OOTD deets below.
This week’s fashionplate is a fun casual spot Mexique in the Nomad area. I decided to wear the shorts from the Christi two piece outfit for a perf summertime look. I have been to the takeout location many times before and this full service restaurant twice before. It’s a large place with a wooden bar and wood table and eclectic chairs and booths. I always need to get the queso here, it’s highly addictive. I also love their margaritas, although sometimes I am that girl who asks for Casamigos blanco with just lime juice and agave for a less sugary marg. My friends all love this place. I love the burnt end brisket bowl, the jamburrito and the mac and cheese. Last time we went my friend got the kale and greens bowl which is very yummy too! It’s the perfect place for a fun lunch or a quick dinner, they aren’t that crowded during dinnertime during the week.
The crowd is mostly professionals who work in the area. See how I paired the Christi shorts below.
Now that the weather is warming up I’m all about trying light healthy and farm to table restaurants for my fashionplate. I’d been wanting to try Cafe Clover for a while and one of my besties is into healthy eating so we decided to make a res for a Tuesday evening. Since it was a balmy night we decided to sit outside and people watch in the West Village. We got a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc to split. The complimentary seed crackers and pea hummus were so yummy and much better than the usual bread basket I rarely touch. We then split the chilled asparagus salad which was very good. In the spirit of sharing we also split the larger portion of the ivory lentil risotto and the chicken breast. OMG is all I can say about the Ivory Lentil risotto, it is so good, I practically licked the bowl clean. The chicken with greens was also very good and simple. We were too full for dessert and my friend is allergic to shellfish and seafood, so next time I want to try the soft shell crab and the striped bass. Splitting one salad and two mains was the perfect amount of food for us.
Now on to the fashion part of the fashionplate. I decided to rock our floral Natalie blouse and purple plaid Janis shorts. See all the ootd deets below. The crowd was mostly trendy groups of girls and couples on dates. A very attractive and fit crowd.

The last of the birthday extravaganza fashionplates is from my actual birthday at Tijuana Picnic, a new fun, casual and young Mexican resto/bar with Asian influences in the LES. Of course I had to be fancy and do it up with something custom that isn’t in my full line since it was my actual birthday and wore my hair in a chic topknot to change things up a bit. The bar is small so your best is bet is actually sitting at one of the tables. One of my girls and me were the first to arrive and were seated right away with our ressie and proceeded to order drinks right away, we started with the margaritas which were tasty and strong. As the rest of my friends started arriving, more drinks were ordered and we started ordering some apps to share. Of course we got the guac and salsa both of which were solid but not a stand out. The duck empanadas were super yummy, definitely would get again. The gorditas were also pretty good. The veggie tacos were also amazing. The tuna tacos were decent but not anything out of the ordinary. We loved the side of the corn since it was off the cob and easy to eat. After a few margs I switched to the Pancho Colada which was so yummy and made me feel like I was on a tropical island in December. Two of my friends decided to surprise me and got a fun dessert of the churros and the tres leches cake in a jar, so yummy and decadent. The service was spot on and the atmosphere and music were fun and lively a great place to celebrate or let loose! Now let’s move on to the fashion part of the fashionplate with the ootd deets.

Check out a few glimpses BTS of the new Spring/Summer 2015 Tasch line. We had an amazing photoshoot for some these great new garments on Friday all around Chelsea- the Highline, Gallery District, brownstones and cafes. This whole line is about casual luxury. I will never design something that I don’t actually want to wear. This might not be haute couture and avant garde but I still capture some of those small details while making wearable clothes.
Thank you to my lovely team for an awesome photoshoot Friday, my gorg models Renita Cotton and Whitters Rae, photographer Eli Earl and MUA Gaetane Joesph and my sissy! I couldn’t pull this collection together without you! And also my fab production, pattern making, sampling ladies- Nicole, Valerie, and Joann for helping bring my visions to life!

Factory Friday! Spent Friday creating some beautiful new pieces for the upcoming fashion week in September. Working on some great separates and one pieces in an array of comfy knit fabrics as well as sumptuous silks and tweeds. There are some great little tanks, graphic tees, rompers, dresses, skirts, shorts and tops that we are working on. The first step after sketching and sourcing is creating a pattern before the sewing process begins. This requires a lot of math, patience and precision. Check out some pix from this process.
OOTD! I am definitely much more of a shorts/pants type of gal than a dress girl, although I do wear dresses sometimes. It’s just on a daily basis I feel much more comfy in shorts, pants, rompers and jumpsuits and the like. I love the gold vintage feeling button detail on these shorts, as well as the luxe brocade/jacquard fabric I used for these shorts in a white that’s perf for spring/summer and can be paired with almost any color and look fab. These shorts are only available on special order by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and you can customize the color/fabric of these shorts!
Outfit by designer/brand as follows:
Black Kiki de Montparnasse oversized tee
Electric blue Giuseppe Zanotti peeptoe booties
White Bcbg leather and gold studded bracelet

Are you Hamptons/Montauk bound or Nantucket/Vineyard bound this weekend? Where are you headed this Memorial Day weekend? Wherever you are going don’t forget to pack some great day to night pieces like our custom silk romper, white shorts and our great graphic tees.
I’m headed out east to Mtk tomorrow and already have packed my custom Aztec romper, white brocade shorts for the obligatory white party, and a bunch of my graphic tees. Girls heading to Nantucket, the Vineyard or Cape this summer don’t forget to order the ACK City tee. I will definitely be wearing it in the hamps too ;)
Spring/Summer 2015 is already on everyone’s mind even though Spring 2014 hasn’t even begun. Looking at all the fabrics and trims is one of my favorite things to do to gather inspiration for new items. Trim shopping is just as important as fabric shopping. For S/S 2015 it’s all in the details. I’m thinking exposed zippers and little stud details, neon, batik trim, lace, vintage inspired buttons and more. Had a great time checking out some trim today in the garment district. Stay tuned for more inspo and one of a kind items to come! What are some trends you think will be big for S/S 2015? Post your ideas in comments.
