Check out the latest fashionplate featuring our repurposed customized vintage AC/DC tee at While We Were Young. One of my girlfriends and me have been wanting to check this place out for a while so we decided on going to brunch at noon in order to snag a table. It’s a super cute spot in the West Village and we love the pink and pastel vibes going on here. We started with iced coffees and cocktails. My friend got the While We Were Young and I got the Bradford’s Mistress which was not too sweet and slightly smokey. Both are super gorg shades of pink to boot. We both got the truffle omelet which was very good. As expected it was mostly girls, I wouldn’t drag my man here. I think their was one bf who was being a good trooper. But definitely a girls catchup spot in my book. See how I styled this fashionplate below.
This week’s fashionplate features our pink velvet shorts at the new Whitmans Hudson Yards. Met some friends here for lunch after a much needed day of beauty. This location isn’t as crowded at the original East Village location. We got some beers and wine. I love the burgers but had had a burger the other day so I opted for their philly cheesesteak which is also delish I got double cheese on it because I love cheese. The cheesesteak comes with fries. Burgers do not come with fries. The juicy lucy is also a big hit. The hound is also delish. This location is much bigger and they deliver to me which I love. See how I styled this fashionplate below.

This fashionplate features our re-purposed Ramones vintage tee at Blue Ribbon Federal Grill. Met the bestie here for brunch on a rainy weekend. We had some cocktails. My friend got the prix fix fried chicken while I got the Blue Ribbon. I added cheese to my friend chickn sandwich and it was delicious. We also split the cheesy spatzle which was great. Got to try out some of the cookies too. It was pretty did think this spot is more of a weekday dinner spot as it’s in fidi. See how I styled my customized vintage tee below for this fashionplate.

The latest fashionplate features our Sophia cami made super cozy at neighborhood spot Chelsea Station. I met the girls here for happy hour on a cold day and we ordered a few happy hour wines, only $5, such a good deal. We also split a bunch of happy hour food-pizza, fries, tacos and meatballs. Everything was good and we had a nice round booth. It wasn’t super crowded mid week. We will definitely be back. See how we styled our Sophia cami below.
This week’s fashionplate features our Rita hoodie dress in black at Boucherie. This fashionplate was a sister brunch date. We had spend the late morning taking a practical herbalism class at Alchemist Kitchen and then shopping at some of the little stores down there. We were famished and I had made a ressie at Boucherie in advance. We got there and were seated promptly but unfortunately that’s when the good service ended. We ordered iced coffees and waters and a blue cheese and duck breast to start. Our little app came out before our beverages which were forgotten. The meat cheese were delish. We then decided to split the croque monsieur and the burger. We waited very long for our entrees to come out. A waitress at one point thought we were done eating. The food finally came and both items were delicious. The fries were great too. We both really enjoyed the food here, however it pains me to say the service left a lot to be desired here.
Now on to the fashion part, it’s weekend brunch so come cozy and casual, although some older couples were more dressed up. There are so many great french bistros in the city so due to the service we probably won’t be back. See all the ootd deets here below.

This week’s fashionplate is a much overdue dinnertime visit to Bowery hotspot- Vandal. I’ve been a bunch for drinks and the club but have been meaning to try the food. I finally got the chance to get there for dinner and it definitely lived up to the hype. I decided to rock our brand new F/W16 Ellie Henley bodysuit for the perfect dinner to drinks to dancing outfit. My dining companion and me were seated pretty promptly in this huge restaurant and club that formerly housed The General and Finale. I love the flowershop entrance and all the great street art. I tried the Sergeant Bell Pepper cocktail which had a great hint of spice and I also had the Lost & Found. We were starving and split a ton of things. The knish reuben was amazing who doesn’t like meat, cheese, potato and thousand island dressing in one neat little package? The hot pretzel tartare was surprisingly tasty and flavorful. The red snapper tostadas rounded out our small plates with a slightly more health conscious app. People love the johnnycakes but we thought they were just ok, would probably not get them again, not as special as the remainder of the items we ordered. The wild mushroom pizza was amazing, orgasm in my mouth, can eat this once a week good. We went with one main, the branzino which was also delish. We probably over ordered by one or two items but yolo. We rounded out the meal with something sweet the smores which you can see got me all kinds of googly eyed.
All in all a great meal, definitely an all night spot from drinks to dinner and then late night dancing. The crowd was mostly young working professionals and downtown scensters with some tourists thrown in. This is definitely a spot to take a fashion risk and try something new. See how I styled my bodysuit below for this fashionplate.
This week’s fashionplate keeps things light and healthy. I love indulging in decadent meals as well as eating clean and healthy. I’ve been wanting to check out the new vegetarian restaurant on University Place- Nix. My dining companion got a ressie here around 7:30 and the place was packed for early in the week. We opted for a nice red wine and started with a few of the dips with both the bread and veggies. The eggplant was our favorite but the hummus and labneh were also amazing. Then we moved on to the jicama salad and the roasted cucumbers, both which were amazing. We obviously had to get the greatly touted fry bread and this was basically an orgasm in your mouth. The tofu skin pockets were also great and similar to enchiladas. The spinach and dandelion pie was also amazing. We were stuffed but there are still more things I will definitely be back to try. This might be my new favorite veggie resto.
The crowd was more gender balanced than most veggie places because Nix has delicious plant based foods that even meat eaters adore. I rocked our new Katy leopard print blouse which matched perfectly with our booth as you can see. See all the OOTD deets for this fashionplate below.

This week’s fashionplate features our brand new Fall/Winter 2016/17 eyelash sweater at the new Batali resto in the Maritime Hotel. I love going to places that are close to my apartment and have been wanting to check out La Sirena for a while. After an event I was starving and in need of wine and we found ourselves at the luxe spacious bar sipping some wine while waiting for a table to open up. Once we were seated my dining companion and I decided to try a few things. We started with the fresh buricotta which is a decadent and creamy cheese that melted in my mouth. We also got the crudo which was standard and fresh. I’m a pasta/carb whore so I had to go in for it and get at least two. The cavatelli with spare ribs was hearty and delicious. We also adored the panzotti with leeks, cheese and a brown butter sauce, totally my kind of pasta dish. We rounded the meal out with the duck breast medium rare which was also great. All in all it was a great Italian meal where I needed to be carted out of the resto, thank god it’s a short walk home. I definitely will be back to check out brunch outside now that it’s getting warmer.
This place gets packed so if you don’t want to wait I would make a reservation even though it’s a large space. The crowd is lots of trendy twenty and thirty-somethings plus some older business dinners and tourists. Definitely dress to impress. See how I styled this fashionplate below.
Another fun show and brunch with the fam for this fashionplate. La Pecora Bianca is a bright and airy Italian cafe. We decided to check it out for a late Sunday brunch. We started off with the trio of toasts which were amazing. We also got the farro salad which was very good. Everyone loved their entrees-the eggs benedict, the veggie lasagna the french toast and the ricotta whole wheat pancake were all very good. I stole my sister’s specialty coffee drink which is pictured and was amazing. They were out of most of the bread basket which was kind of a bummer but all in all it was a nice brunch. Service was a little slow but it was busy. Definitely would have breakfast meetings here earlier in the am. See how I styled this new hoodie dress for this fashionplate below:
This week’s fashionplate features our gorg new Linda leather trimmed romper from the new Spring/Summer 2016 line at the new hot spot Black Barn in the old SD26 space. Clearly from my pictures you can tell they take their wine seriously too! My dining companion and I ordered some cocktails to start, I started with Pear necessity which was refreshing while my companion got a Jack and coke. We decided to split a few things for our dinner. The black mission fig pizza was delish and a great fall starter. We also ended up getting the cheese souffle which was phenomenal- decadent, rich and creamy. We ended up switching to a nice Malbec before our split entree. We got the strip loin medium rare which was decent but not my favorite. I wanted to try the branzino but I had just had it for dinner the night before so alas we went with steak. We also got a side of the fingerling potatoes which were pretty dope. We wanted to finish things on a sweet note and were not disappointed with our waiter’s recommendation of the chocolate caramel bar. It is reminiscent of Illili’s candy bar dessert- YUMMY!
The service was great. Now on to the fashion part of this fashionplate, there were a lot of suits on a Thursday night probably due to the proximity of Credit Suisse etc. So lots of business dinners and more locals in the bar area. See the complete OOTD deets below to see how I made our Linda romper fall approps with a cute little fishtail braid!
This week’s fashionplate features our eco-friendly and sustainable bamboo jersey dress in sky blue at Rosie’s a mexican spot off Bowery. I met a friend there for a early week catch up session and it was a warmer fall night perfect to still be rocking pastels. They have an adorable little tortilla station where they make all the tortillas and masa based things in house. We started off with some watermelon margaritas and then proceeded to split a bunch of things. We first started with the guac and the queso fundido, both of which were delish and yummy. We then got some more margs and scallop ceviche which was fresh but small. Then came out the remainder of the small plates. The fish tacos were solid but not a stand out. The quesadillas were yummy and filled with veggies. The memilitas were unique and spicy. The tlayuda oaxaquena was also very interesting. We basically loved everything we ordered and things were spicier than most mexican spots which is always a plus in my book.
The crowd was mostly neighborhood peeps and downtown hipsters. On a Monday night they were only half full, I will definitely be back to try out some different dishes. See how I styled our bamboo jersey dress for this fashionplate below.
Now that fashion week is over I can get back to fashionplates that feature some of the great new S/S16 line. One of the bestie’s decided to have her bday party at new interactive hotspot- Sushi Roxx recently so I decided it was a perfect reason to get dolled up and wear our new raw silk leather trim pencil skirt. It’s attached to the hotel and a fairly large space with servers who dance and sing throughout the night. On the night her birthday party was Mob Wives also happened to be filming which made for an entertaining dinner before a night out on the town.
Since it was a birthday party we had a prix fix menu that was served family style with some appetizers, sushi and chicken teriyaki. I decided to go with a decent bottle of cold sake. Some stand out dishes for me were the fried avocado, seriously delish with the dipping sauce. The peppers were also good. I’m not much of a roll person but I sampled a few pieces that were solid, the usual crunchy spice tuna, salmon etc… This isn’t on 15 East level but it gets the job done if you like rolls. The chicken and broccoli were solid. They let our friend bring her own cake and everyone had a fab time so all in all a fun dining experience with a large group. See how I styled our new pencil skirt for our fashionplate and all the OOTD deets below.
This week’s fashionplate features our new black sheer Georgette Natalie blouse at the new Tex-Mex spot Javelina in Gramercy. It’s located in the old Tommy Lasagna space so it’s quite narrow and gets packed quickly, best bet is to make a res. One weekday evening my dining companion and I decided to make a last minute res. The turquoise tufted banquettes are fun and festive. I tried the Mexican Martini which was yummy as well as a few margaritas on the rocks which were strong and tasty as well. We decided to order the guacamole and the queso to start, both were very yummy. Next time I want one of the specialty quesos, they looked super good. My friend got the veggie fajitas which were solid but nothing special. I wanted to try the avocado tacos but they were out of it the night I went so I went with brisket tacos which was tasty especially the jalapeno gravy that comes with it. We ended the night with complimentary churros which were delish.
The crowd was mixed between young professionals, older tourists and locals. See how I styled our Natalie blouse below.
This week’s fashionplate is at avant garde Mexican spot Cosme in Flatiron. Even though it’s been open for months it’s still uber hard to get a reservation, you need to make one in advance unless you want to brave the bar when they first open. The blond wood bar is expansive and they have a huge tequila and mezacal selection which is pretty dope. I actually started with the expat martini which was good but I wanted to move on to margaritas after that. My friend and I decided to share a few of the small plates. We got the arctic char tostada which was yummy and perfectly flavorful. We also got the scallop ceviche which was my favorite, light and perfect. The enfrijolada was a more comforting dish that was also quite good. We then decided to get the steak tacos which were also good. Yes, the portions are small but we went there already knowing this. We ended with the chocolate ganache which was our least favorite part of the meal, it wasn’t bad just not as chocolatey as we like.
Now on to the fashion part of the fashionplate, the crowd was a mix of trendy couples on dates, young professionals expensing their meals and friends looking to enjoy Thursday night. Definitely dress to impress but keep it cool. See how I paired out new Katherine shirtdress below, the perfect day to night look to take you from work to dinner to Tribeca Film festival afterparties for the Adderall Diaries at American Cut.
This week’s fashionplate features our new Jacqueline grey and blue striped kimono at a new Italian resto in the LES. Gelso & Grand the baby of former nightlife promoter Nima Garos. I like the open industrial layout and exposed break with the comfy red leather banquettes. I went with a bestie for catch up sess and weekday dinner and had made a res but probably didn’t have too as it was about half full. I ordered a Tuscan red and imagine to my surprise and delight when the gm comes out with complimentary champagne for both me and my friend to thank us for making a res. Kudos on that extra attention to customer service. Free drinks are even better than free food in my opinion. I drank the champers first and saved the red to drink with my food. We split the Brussels sprouts which were very yummy and had a kick with the addition of chilies. Then I went with lasagna since it’s made with eggplant and I love eggplant. It was pretty yummy and I almost finished the whole thing. My friend got the bolognese which was solid. All in all good service and food.
The clientele was a mix between downtown kids, a family, and some tourists. See the ootd deets of this fashionplate below. My look was comfy and casual!
I love cozy days and cute puppies, specifically frenchies and anything that feels like sweats. For this #wallstreetwednesday meet Miles, an adorable frenchie that captured my heart. For this ootd I paired our brand new Lana charcoal sweater knit jogger pants, from our Fall/Winter 2015/2016 collection with some fun basics and a cool pump to jazz it up a bit. See the complete outfit of the day deets below.
This is the perfect way to dress up our jogger pant but still remain comfy and almost feel like you are wearing sweats or pjs.
This week’s fashionplate features another great new product from the Fall/Winter 2015 collection, a brown silk floral printed blouse that goes hand in hand with the newish tiki inspired cocktail spot in the West Village, The Happiest Hour. I adore tropical drinks and sipping on a tropical drink can definitely transport you momentarily from snowy winter weather to a tropical beach…well at least in your head. On a Thursday night around 7:30, the bar was packed and it was hard to find a seat as the place was packed, but after the Sugar Shack and a Fall from the Tree with bourbon and beers for my friend we were able to grab seats to sit and order some food. I got the grilled cheese which came with a little bowl of tomato soup for dunking and fries and the portions are perfect for a later last minute dinner or snack to line your stomach so you can sample all the delish cocktails. The grilled cheese was pretty solid and the fries were yummy too. And I was able to sample a Sazerac and a Daiquiri for dessert. The drinks were all interesting and yummy, it’s not some complex mixology spot but a chill place to get drinks a little beyond your vodka soda or wine.
Now on to the fashion part and OOTD deets of the fashionplate. I loved the tiki decor which is the BHH meets surfer kitsch, which I happen to like and thought it would be fun to rock our new brown silk floral blouse for a fun feel. The crowd here is mostly downtown twenty and thirtysomethings looking for a fun, cool environment. It’s definitely a mix of afterwork attire and casual West Village chic. Definitely a fun spot to check out and if you have time check out the lounge underneath.
