Running around the city in Tasch NYC band tee, Bebe leather moto jacket, Blank NYC vegan leather leggings, H&M ankle booties and YSL medium Kate black purse. Photography by Meghan Asselta.
This week is devoted to the classic Rock & Roll band tee. I worked with designer Tasch on this post. I just love her stuff since she repurposes a classic band tee. In this look she has added holes and burnt others into the oversized black Nirvana tee I’m wearing. I styled it with my Blank NYC vegan leather leggings, H&M metallic ankle booties and Bebe leather moto jacket, finishing it off with my new YSL medium Kate purse in all black.
I love the way a band tee can add edge to any outfit, and since this t-shirt is oversized I wanted to pair it with a legging and jacket and add an ankle boot. The all black edge gets funky with a metallic boot which is a huge trend at the moment. This classic yet edgy look is timeless.
Check out the latest fashionplate featuring our customized repurposed Pink Floyd vintage tee at Seamore’s in Chelsea. Met the girlies here for a weekday catchup dinner on one of those in between summer days. I love the original Nolita location so was stoked when they opened a location in my hood. It took a while to get a table so we got some wine in the cute downstairs speakeasy. Once we were seated we ordered more wine and split the mac and cheese which was yummy. Then I got the seared fish burrito which was good and came with a great kale salad. One of my friends got the veggie version of this. My last gf got the seared scallops special which looked delish. All in all it was yummy dinner and I’ll be back. Tip make a res or come early. See how I styled this fashionplate below.
Check out the latest fashionplate featuring our Goldie bodysuit at Motel Morris. I have been trying to check out more local places in the hood lately and have been wanting to eat at Motel Morris for a while. We ended up grabbing seats at the bar as the place was pretty jammed for a Tuesday night. We started with some wine and decided to split a bunch of things. The pimento cheese deviled eggs were delish and had a bit of spice added to them. We also had to get the fries which were great. The potato and cheddar pierogies were also yummy and had lobster and mushrooms with it. We were in between getting the burger and the skirt steak and ended up with the skirt steak. It had a gruyere fondue which was absolutely delish. I loved the cute decor of the place and the bathrooms totally reminded me of LA, kitschy and cute and pink. See how I styled this fashionplate below.
Check out some great press we got from Jenny Miranda at Manhattanite News. Thanks so much for stopping by at our Cocktails & Couture event. You can see the whole article on Taschnyc here-TaschNYC The Manhattanite News or on the Manhattanite News website!

Check out this week’s fashionplate featuring one of our super comfy bamboo jersey teeshirts at Upstate sister resto Edwin & Neal’s Fish Bar. Had a ressie here to meet one of my besties for a quick week day catch up dinner. We got some wine and then proceeded to order some raw oysters which were solid. My friend got the fried fish sandwich which was ok but nothing special. The fries were seasoned which was yummy. I got the fish tacos which I enjoyed. I also got a the potato and corn has which was solid. The crowd was mostly locals and it was about half to a 3/4 full around 7:45 during the week. The service was a little rushed but it is a decent spot to check out. See how I styled this fashionplate below.
This week’s fashionplate is a Sunday Funday edition at the new World in Chelsea. I wanted to watch the Jets v. Pats game someplace close by so thought it was the perfect time to check out World of Beer. We arrived a bit after 12 so it was pretty empty and got a spot right in front of the big TV. I started with a bloody and my friend got the speciality bloody with sausage in it. We then ended up switching over to ketel sodas and beers. They have a great beer selection and the bloodies came with IPA shooters. We ordered the buffalo wings and garlic Parmesan wings and loaded tater tots. Everything was good. It got slightly more crowded once the game started but not overly crowded and was pretty civilized for a bar on game day. Definitely would head back for a chill relaxing non club like or frat like setting. See how I styled my Lana joggers for this fashionplate below!
Being a huge burger lover, my bestie and me had to check out the new location of JG Melon in the West Village for a fashionplate. The decor is a spot on newer and cleaner replica of the original upper east side location and a lot less crowded. I decided to rock our new mint green bamboo tee shirt. I had a glass or red and my bestie got a beer. I started with a cup of chili which was delish and perfect after a long chilly day. We then each got our bacon cheddar burgers medium rare which were yummy and split our cottage fries. This location has a lot more young downtown types. See the complete ootd deets for this fashionplate below.
This week’s fashionplate is in honor of all things American and the 4th of July. I decided to rock my festive custom stars and stripes tank and grab some burgers and beers at Black Tap Craft Burgers and Beer in Soho. This small restaurant has seating at the bar and counter space. We manged to snag two seats at the bar and I decided to hydrate first with a watermelon juice and my friend got an iced tea. I then proceeded to get a Mermaid Pilsner. Who says this girl never gets beer?! We then split the special wings which were solid but could’ve used a little more spice. Then my friend got the All American burger with sweet potato fries and I went with the Texan burger. We both agreed my burger was better, it was perfectly medium rare and I loved the addition of bacon and the crispy onion ring and BBQ sauce, yummers. The fries were also solid and the sweet potato fries were even better. I couldn’t even finish my whole burger and ended up taking the remainder to go.
Now on the the fashion and ootd part of the fashionplate. The crowd was mostly young twentysomethings who live in the surrounding hood with a little bit of Brooklyn thrown in for good measure. They also play some dope old school hip hop which we loved. See how I styled my custom top below.

This fashionplate is at a new casual spot in my hood, Chelsea. Cooper’s Craft & Kitchen is a gastropub that has another location in the Village but this spot is new and packed. Even at 8pm during the week the bar was still packed with happy hour dwellers. Thank god my friend got there a good 30 minutes before me and was able to secure a spot at the bar. They are known for having a lot of beers on tap but I’m not a huge beer girl so I opted for my favorite cold weather drink other than wine, bourbon. Yummy bullet on the rocks as well as some specialty cocktails. After a long day we were also starving and decided to split a bunch of things. The wings were good but not really spicy at all in either of our opinions which was a little disappointing. We also had the mac and cheese curds which was super yummy. The pork belly buns were the special of the day and were pretty decadent and yummy. My friend also had fish tacos which were meh.
Now on to the fashion part of the fashionplate. I opted to wear my comfy Tom Ford graphic tee and be casual and cute. Most of the crowd was more of the fratty i banker crowd, which is puzzling in this area, but whatever, as long as they aren’t spilling my drinks it’s all good. See the complete ootd deets below.
Check out Ford and Untitled model Bobby T wearing our dope “I don’t pop Molly, I rock Tom Ford” top on a run through Runyon Canyon. Doesn’t she look beyond gorg in it? Love when customers love our clothes!
Check out my friend and comedian Christina Calph in her latest video Dear Me on her You Tube channel Bad Girls Ball. She rocks our fab “You Can’t Sit with Us” tee in this segment . Here at Tasch we love girls who are smart, funny, cool, have a great sense of style and hot to boot! Definitely follow her Youtube channel and get yourself your own cute and comfy tee!
Little graphic tees are one of the most versatile items in a girls closet which is why for this OOTD, I didn’t want to forget about this fab piece. I winterized our fab Tom Ford tee with layers and boots. This is the perfect daytime look for running errands, casual Friday that can take you from am to a casual dinner and drinks. See the full outfit of the day deets below.
I created Tasch because I couldn’t always find the perfect tops and tees that fit into all aspects of life. I only create things that I want to wear. I love haute couture but it’s not easy to wear in everyday life. I wanted to create pieces that every women can feel beautiful and confident wearing. I’m all about casual luxury and mixing and matching different designers and pieces.
I also believe in bringing back business to the US, specifically New York, which is why everything is designed, sourced and produced right here in NYC. When I did my first small production run in the beginning of the year when I launched my company I worked with a factory right here in the garment district to produce my first 6 pieces. I’m so excited to be able to continue to grow in my community and debut my first full line!
The Spring/Summer 2015 Tasch line was inspired by my summers and trips in general to Montauk, the Hamptons, Nantucket, St Barth, St Tropez, and Monaco. I’m inspired by the whole easy, casual luxury. It’s truly contemporary sportswear. Some of my favorite designers are Alexander McQueen, Tom Ford, and Chanel. I also love contemporary designers such as rag&bone, Haute Hippie, ALC and Naven among others.
Now for the naming process… I also decided to name all my garments after great rock & roll /punk/folk chicks of the 60’s/70’s. The Pretenders, The Runaways, Fleetwood Mac, Jefferson Airplane… From Stevie Nicks to Grace Slicks to Chrissie Hynde to Janis Joplin these women were pioneers and truly helped shape the music industry and looked great doing it. They all had their own style and vibe which I love. They all have nailed that effortless cool look that makes Tasch-Tasch so naming my pieces after them was a no brainer. They embody that casual luxury look that we’re all about.
Hope you enjoyed getting a little behind the scenes look about the process and thought and inspo behind the line. Have a great weekend!
Even though I’m beyond busy with last minute deets for my show tomorrow and have been running on fumes, I decided to post my last summertime OOTD for you all. Our ACK City tee is the perfect summertime tee shirt in a great, soft and cozy nantucket red jersey material. So it’s fitting that I did one outfit of the day in it before summer is up. Check out a few glimpses BTS of the new Spring/Summer 2015 Tasch line. We had an amazing photoshoot for some these great new garments on Friday all around Chelsea- the Highline, Gallery District, brownstones and cafes. This whole line is about casual luxury. I will never design something that I don’t actually want to wear. This might not be haute couture and avant garde but I still capture some of those small details while making wearable clothes.
Thank you to my lovely team for an awesome photoshoot Friday, my gorg models Renita Cotton and Whitters Rae, photographer Eli Earl and MUA Gaetane Joesph and my sissy!
