Fashionplate- Taylor flannel at Rag Trader

Image may contain: 1 person, smiling, sitting, table and indoorThis week’s fashionplate features our Taylor buffalo check flannel at the garment district’s Rag Trader. Met my sister here for an end of the week catch up on a cold day, so layers were key.  I got there first and settled into their tufted green banquettes.  I love all the old Vogues on display and various old garment factory items, that’s what I geek out to as a fashion designer.   People were just getting there for happy hour so of course I ordered a glass of Cab.  Once my sister arrived we decided to split a few things.  Our least favorite thing on the menu was the shaved apple salad, it wasn’t bad just a bit too salty for our taste.  The fried chicken sliders were good just wish they came with more than 2.  We loved the siracha deviled eggs they had a nice quick to them.  The star of the meal was the speck pizza, it was so good we forced ourselves to finish it all.  Next time I’ll have to save room for dessert-drunken donuts yum.  Feel free to dress casual or come in your after work garb.  The crowd skews from people who work in the area and tourists.  See how I styled this fashion plate below.

Fashionplate- Taylor Buffalo plaid flannel at Speedy Romeo’s

fashionplateThis week’s fashionplate takes place at Speedy Romeo’s in LES and rocked our Taylor buffalo check flannel shirt.  I met a gf here for brunch on a surprisingly warm weekend.  Of course we started with Bloody Mary’s, mine extra spicy.  We then decided to split two things so we could try a pizza and something else.  We got the Ritz pizza, which features taylor ham, an egg, plenty of cheese and tabasco, we all know I love my hot sauce.  This was delish.  We also got the baked eggs that had a delish tomato sauce and lots of cheese plus crusty butter bread to dip.  Both of these dishes were yummy and we left brunch having to call our asses an uber.  Fatgirls fo life.  There weren’t a ton of people here but we had a late brunch for a non party brunch around 2:30 or so.  See how I styled our Taylor shirt for this fashionplate below.

Fashionplate: Taylor Buffalo Plaid Flannel Tunic at Sons and Daughters

fashionplateThe latest fashionplate takes place at Sons and Daughters a fun spot in Meatpacking under the Highline.  Went for brunch with a friend to catch up recently and thought our Taylor buffalo plaid flannel tunic was the perfect in between layer for the finicky fall weather.   We opted for the aycd option for brunch as if you have 2 drinks you might as well.  I started with their version of a bloody which was tasty although I only really can have one or two bloodies.  I then switched to the hooked on a feeling which my friend got which was quite good.  I got the SD burger which was tasty and the fries were crispy and good too.  My friend got the veggie frittata which was also yummy.  There were mostly couples and some brunch dates, mostly young trendy peeps.  I will definitely be back for happy hour or dinner.  Check out how I styled this fashionplate below.

Fashionplate- Patti Tank at Porchlight

fashionplate PorchlightThis week’s fashionplate features our Patti leather t back top for the ootd at new Danny Meyer’s West Chelsea Southern inspired hot spot, Porchlight.  Met up with some girlies on a Saturday night and it wasn’t as packed as expected, we sat at the large bar and proceeded to order cocktails.  I just opted for bourbon, but one of my friends had champagne and another one had the Stay all night.  We also sampled the house punch and the Sherry cobbler.  The cocktails were all very good and the bartenders were attentive.  We weren’t feeling the food menu so didn’t have a chance to try any of it but other people seemed to like it.  They have a cute game room in the back with a bunch of boardgames which is cute.  Will definitely be back for happy hour when it’s supposed to be super lively.

Now on the to the fashion part of the fashionplate.  There were a lot of young professional types even though it was the weekend and couples and large groups playing games.  The crowd skewed on the under 30/35 side and more casual attire.
