This week’s fashionplate features our Donna ribbon trim cami at Bar Gonzo. I met a friend at Bar Gonzo for happy hour on National Margarita day. By now you should know I love tequila and more specifically margaritas. It was a rainy, dreary day so the bar wasn’t super crowded and we ended up getting a table to catch up. I of course ordered a yuzu shiso margarita which was great. She stuck to vodka sodas because she is on the bride diet. They gave us complimentary fried green bananas which were good and similar to plantain chips but fresh and homemade. We got the pizza of the day which had tomato sauce, mozzarella and pesto and was a similar to a French bread pizza. It reminded me of my fav after school snack as a kid and was delish. We also got the beef skewers which were good but a small portion. I stuck the marg for my drinkies and she stuck with her vodka sodas. Their happy hour specials are great and the space is trippy and cool and Hunter S Thompson inspired. See all the ootd and meal deets for this fashionplate below.
The latest fashionplate features our Sophia cami made super cozy at neighborhood spot Chelsea Station. I met the girls here for happy hour on a cold day and we ordered a few happy hour wines, only $5, such a good deal. We also split a bunch of happy hour food-pizza, fries, tacos and meatballs. Everything was good and we had a nice round booth. It wasn’t super crowded mid week. We will definitely be back. See how we styled our Sophia cami below.
This birthday fashionplate takes place at Megu. I decided to wear our Donna cami and shine a bit with the pink lit up decor. Of course we tried some cocktails. We started with the tuna tartare cones which were good and cute. We also got the spicy cheese dumplings which were also delish and an interesting Americanized fusion mashup. For mains we split the miso cod which was very good and the sashimi platter. Everything was super fresh and presented well. The clientele is slightly Euro and older. Overall this is a trendy and fun update of the old downtown Megu. See how I dressed to impress for this fashionplate.
This week’s fashionplate takes place at Seabird, a cute little spot in the heart of the West Village. For this catch up sess with one of the besties I decided to rock our eggplant Sophia cami for Friday night fun. I made a res for 7:30 but the restaurant it didn’t get crowded until about 8:15/8:30. I started with a glass of Sauv and my girl had a glass of Pinot Grigio. We then decided to split a few things. We got the branzino carpaccio which we found light and unique. We then got the grilled octopus which we also enjoyed. Lastly we tried the decadent jalapeno lobster mac & cheese which had a nice quick to it. This is overall a cute neighborhood spot filled mostly with couples on dates. See how I styled our Sophia cami for this fashionplate.
Check out the latest fashionplate at local spot Chuck&Blade. I’ve walked by here many times and stopped in a for a quick nightcap one night but decided to go with some of my girls for happy hour/snacks. This place is super cute I adore the houndstooth booths. We grabbed some wine and had some oysters and mac and cheese. The oysters were pretty good and fresh. See how I styled our Donna tank for this fashionplate below.

This week’s fashionplate features a few of my favorite things- our Sophia eggplants cami, margaritas, and queso. My dining companion and I were starving after getting my hair did. I love all things Mexican and tex-mex so I knew we had to hit up Avenida Cantina. We were promptly seated and I ordered a marg, obvi, and he got a rum punch. We started with the Big Al’s Special queso which was super yummy with the chorizo in the melty cheese. The complimentary salsa was also pretty solid. I went with the frito pie enchiladas with white queso, jalapenos and sour cream on top because you might as well treat yo self. My dining companion got a steak burrito with queso and sour cream on top. Needless to say we were both in food coma after our entrees and more drinks. I loved my Austin-esque enchies and the re-fried beans have more chorizo on them when is amazing. The crowd is a mix of locals and a few of the new East Village types, you know what I mean. This is a totally casual and comfy place.
After finishing our fattoush meal, we went downstairs to check out their cocktail spot Mockingbird Bar, where we sampled a few of the cocktails, all of which we liked. The bartenders were chill and fun. I definitely will be back. See how I styled my Sophia cami for this fashionplate below.
This week’s fashionplate kicks off my modified Dry-uanary with yummy comfort vegan fare at By Chloe in the village. I decided to dress in layers with my pink multi-fabric Bianca top. This place is still crazy crowded when my bestie and I decided to grab a casual catch up dinner. We waiting on line to order our food and looked for tables indoor but there were none so we ended up grabbing a table outside. Once our buzzers went off we were ready to dig in. I got the guac burger which I loved, I might or might not be eating way too much avocado and black beans this month. Shhh. My girl got the regular burger which she liked a lot. We split the mac & cheese which was solid and the fries which tasted like normal fries. I also got a pineapple juice which was a great way to wash it all down. Next time I want to try the Quinoa taco or kale casear salads but I had both of those things I made myself this week.
Now on to the fashion part of this fashionplate. This was a heavily female dominated crowd, lots of besties like us catching up. Both trendy downtown girls and girls who just finished barre or soul and needed to refuel. See how I styled my look below.
This week’s fashionplate features our Donna ribbon trim cami at casual cool Pizza Beach on the Upper East Side. I’m more of a downtown girl but after a JL meeting decided to check out this cute new spot with a friend. We had a res which is a good thing as this place was packed on a Tuesday night. They have a very reasonably priced wine list which is perf because we all know that red wine and pizza is my jam. We shared the burrata to start which was creamy and yummy. Then we split the Thai Coconut Curry & Rock Shrimp pizza which was a unique and tasty pizza. I would love to try out some of the other pizzas especialyl the Purple Kale and Butternut squash pizza. There was a little mishap with candles and water spilling here but they graciously comped our bill for our troubles so good customer service.
Now on to the fashion part of the fashionplate. Since this is the Upper East Side there is a mix of families, young professionals, and older couples. See what I paired my Donna tank with below.
Check out a few glimpses BTS of the new Spring/Summer 2015 Tasch line. We had an amazing photoshoot for some these great new garments on Friday all around Chelsea- the Highline, Gallery District, brownstones and cafes. This whole line is about casual luxury. I will never design something that I don’t actually want to wear. This might not be haute couture and avant garde but I still capture some of those small details while making wearable clothes.
Thank you to my lovely team for an awesome photoshoot Friday, my gorg models Renita Cotton and Whitters Rae, photographer Eli Earl and MUA Gaetane Joesph and my sissy! I couldn’t pull this collection together without you! And also my fab production, pattern making, sampling ladies- Nicole, Valerie, and Joann for helping bring my visions to life!
I’ve been sharing a lot of my new pieces with you all recently but definitely would like to keep some a surprise for fashion week. I love sharing all the behind the scenes stuff and thought it would be fun to at least give some little teasers/sneakpeeks of some of the new garments I’m working on for Spring/Summer 2015. I’m doing a mix of prints and solids in some great easy to wear shapes and fabrics I’m beyond excited about. Think knit jersey, chiffon, silk, raw silk, satin, tweed, suiting material, lace, leather details, suede details, crochet details, slip dresses, maxi dresses, mini dresses, rompers, mini skirts, maxi skirts, jogger pants, shorts, dress shorts, halters, camisoles, racerback tops, bodysuits, and more. I hope these get you geeked up for fashion week, I know I’m beyond enthused. Stay tuned for info on my S/S 2015 show deets for NYFW to come in the next week. Can’t wait to share my whole collection with you all then.
Factory Friday! Spent Friday creating some beautiful new pieces for the upcoming fashion week in September. Working on some great separates and one pieces in an array of comfy knit fabrics as well as sumptuous silks and tweeds. There are some great little tanks, graphic tees, rompers, dresses, skirts, shorts and tops that we are working on. The first step after sketching and sourcing is creating a pattern before the sewing process begins. This requires a lot of math, patience and precision. Check out some pix from this process.
Trying to add at least 2 OOTD/ outfit of the day posts a month so you can see how to style Tasch pieces with items already in your closet :) For my friends bridal shower I decided to rock the Bianca top and keep things cute, casual and comfy. I love the versatility of the Bianca top it looks good with almost anything. See list below for designer deets.

Spring/Summer 2015 is already on everyone’s mind even though Spring 2014 hasn’t even begun. Looking at all the fabrics and trims is one of my favorite things to do to gather inspiration for new items. Trim shopping is just as important as fabric shopping. For S/S 2015 it’s all in the details. I’m thinking exposed zippers and little stud details, neon, batik trim, lace, vintage inspired buttons and more. Had a great time checking out some trim today in the garment district. Stay tuned for more inspo and one of a kind items to come! What are some trends you think will be big for S/S 2015? Post your ideas in comments.
