This week’s fashionplate is at a new Moroccan restaurant and hookah lounge, Casablanca in the East Village. Love the cool door and light blue and white decor. Met a friend for belated birthday dinner at Casablanca and we decided to start of with some cocktails of course, the Basil Lily for me and the Phoenician Pimms cup for her. We then decided to split some things. The hummus and dip sampler was delish, and I had to ask for more bread to get every last bite of each tip. We also had a shrimp and avocado ceviche which was pretty solid. Then I opted for the Avocado and quinoa salad which was savory and satisfying yet light. She got the lamb moussaka which she liked. A few more rounds of cocktails and the night was underway.
The place was not very crowded on a Saturday night at 7, but this area doesn’t usually get busy until later and it started slowly filling up as we were finishing up. See how I styled our eggplant Janis menswear shorts and the complete ootd and fashion part of fashionplates below.
