Fashionplate- Natalie Blouse at La Contenta Oeste

The latest fashionplate features the gorgeous Tasch Natalie blouse at La Contenta Oeste in the West Village.  Met some friends here for a brunch to catch up and enjoy the finally spring weather.  I made a res so we were seated right away.  They have $8 brunch cocktails yay!  I had a Mexican Coffee as did my friend’s hubby.  She had a marg and my other friend had a martini.  Drinks of all types going down.  We then got guac to start.  I was uber sad they wouldn’t make their famous nachos which I love at the les location. I guess I’ll have to make my way back for hh I guess so I can have those banging nachos again.  Then we ordered another rounds of margs because hey it’s Saturday.  I got the enchiladas suizas which were delish.  One got the carne asada tacos which he loved.  The other two both got the breakfast burrito which they also loved.  More drinks turned into a full daytime drinking affair.

I still love this spot EVEN though they wouldn’t make my nachos.  Lol.  This is a come as you are Mexican joint but I glammed it up a little the Tasch Natalie blouse.  See how I styled this fashionplate and all the meal deets below.

Fashionplate- Mia Sweater at Butcher & Banker

The latest fashionplate features the Tasch Mia oversized sweater at midtown steakhouse Butcher and Banker.  Made a ressie here with the boo for a weekday dinner around 7 and it was crowded.  Although the vault was closed for a private corporate party.  Also note that you have to walk through the New Yorker hotel to access the restaurant which is interesting to say the least.  We were seated and I started with the Scotch and Bubbles which was an intriguing drink.  They Parker house type rolls they give to start are very good and we also got shrimp cocktail which was good.  I then switched to red wine for my steak.  For entrees he got the veal chop which came with mushrooms which he enjoyed.  I got a filet rare Oscar style, which so good and came with asparagus.  I love the mini surf and turf combo of my steak with crab.  We also go sautéed spinach and the duck fat potatoes, which was like a delicious giant latke/hashbrown hybrid.  The food was great.  However the ambience left a bit to be desired, service felt rushed and it catered to a tourist/theater crowd.  Was so many other amazing steakhouses in New York we probably won’t be back.   See how I styled this fashionplate below.
