Check out another birthday edition of fashionplate featuring our Riri cropped sweater at Cut. I love steak so celebrating my birthday and the holidays there was no way I could celebrate with at least one birthday dinner at a steakhouse. My bestie took me to Cut, the new Wolfgang Puck steakhouse downtown located in the Four Seasons hotel. I’m not a huge bread basket person but the gougeres they started us with were great. We also got a nice bottle of Malbec to enjoy with our steak. They don’t have a raw bar so no oysters but that’s ok because we filled up on the bread and then moved on to meat. I go the bone in filet rare which was cooked perfectly. We split the mac&cheese which was decadent and delish, as well as the creamed spinach with an egg that was the star of the sides. We rounded out our meal with the butterscotch candy bar that was sinfully rich.
Now on to the scene for this fashionplate. Since my birthday is by the holidays there were a lot of company, client and department holiday dinners going on. Think lots of ibankers in suits. It was a chilly night so I opted to rock our Riri cropped sweater. See how I styled this fashionplate below.
This birthday fashionplate takes place at Megu. I decided to wear our Donna cami and shine a bit with the pink lit up decor. Of course we tried some cocktails. We started with the tuna tartare cones which were good and cute. We also got the spicy cheese dumplings which were also delish and an interesting Americanized fusion mashup. For mains we split the miso cod which was very good and the sashimi platter. Everything was super fresh and presented well. The clientele is slightly Euro and older. Overall this is a trendy and fun update of the old downtown Megu. See how I dressed to impress for this fashionplate.
This week’s fashionplate takes place at Speedy Romeo’s in LES and rocked our Taylor buffalo check flannel shirt. I met a gf here for brunch on a surprisingly warm weekend. Of course we started with Bloody Mary’s, mine extra spicy. We then decided to split two things so we could try a pizza and something else. We got the Ritz pizza, which features taylor ham, an egg, plenty of cheese and tabasco, we all know I love my hot sauce. This was delish. We also got the baked eggs that had a delish tomato sauce and lots of cheese plus crusty butter bread to dip. Both of these dishes were yummy and we left brunch having to call our asses an uber. Fatgirls fo life. There weren’t a ton of people here but we had a late brunch for a non party brunch around 2:30 or so. See how I styled our Taylor shirt for this fashionplate below.
Check out this week’s fashionplate featuring our Ellie bodysuit at Casa Neta. Everyone know I love queso fundido and margaritas so you had to know I would be checking out a new mexican spot eventually. After a day of beauty haircut and makeup I needed to replenish the energy I expended. Met the bestie here to catch up, show off the new hair and stuff our faces. It was pretty empty for a Wednesday night and we were seated immediately. Of course we need margs stats. We then decided to share the guac and the queso fundido. They were both super yum and we were stuffed but of course we also ordered tacos because yolo. We got the fish and chicken ones. We preferred the fish ones. Overall a great Mexican meal. Check out this week’s fashionplate featuring our Natalie blouse at American Cut Midtown. Everyone who knows me I love red meat, so on a recent night out on the town we decided to have dinner at the newer location of American Cut in midtown. This space is quite large and we started off with martinis by the bar while waiting for our table to be ready. We then split West Coast oysters which were delish. We then split the ribeye medium rare and mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Everything was good, a decadent fall time meal. There were a lot of business types here do to the proximity to a lot of the fiance set offices. There were also a few dates. See how I styled our Natalie blouse for this fashionplate below.
