This week’s fashionplate takes us east of the city to Montauk. I love Grey Lady in the city so I’ve been wanting to check out the sister location in Montauk in the old Harbor space by the docks and another fav the Hideaway. It is updated a bit but has most of the old bones of Harbor. We made ressies but if you come early before 8 you probably are fine without them. If you haven’t noticed there has been a heatwave in NY as of late so I just kept things casual with our Hampton striped pocket tank. I started with a coconut margarita which was unique and delish. My girl had the sangria which she also enjoyed. I really was in the mood for clam chowder so I decided to do that and app. The clam chowder was fresh, creamy and had lots of clam in it. I also got the bacon wrapped scallops which were amazing with seasonal fresh veggies. My friend got the tilefish which she enjoyed. Everything is super fresh. Yes, the menu is limited but there is plenty on it that I want to try. Our waiter was uber knowledgeable about the more unique fishes. We learned a lot about lionfish, as she was debating between these two entrees which was an interesting little history listen.

This week’s fashionplate takes place at the new American/Mediterranean restaurant in the Park South Hotel. Had a ressie with a friend here and waited at the bar where the bartender whipped me up a cute pink tequila cocktail which was delish. When she arrived we were promptly seated and ordered some wine. We started with the charred broccolini which was delish and added something green and healthy to our pre-Friday night meal. We then split mandilli pasta which was amazing and stuffed with ricotta and had a tomato and pesto sauce, such comfort food. We also got the pepperoni and sopressata pizza which was also delish. We were very happy with our food, drinks and wine. The service was also vvv good.
Now on to the fashion part of this fashionplate. The place is fairly large and filled up quite quickly with reservations while I was waiting at the bar. A lot of couples, young trendy girl groups and a scattering of tourists. The dresscode ran the gamut from after work business casual to more eclectic. This week’s fashionplate features one of my favorite foods-pizza. Check out how I styled our floral Linda slipdress and enjoyed some delish food at Zia Maria. This spot that took over Patsy’s isn’t too crowded but we still opted to sit at the bar. Got a nice glass of rose to start. I had the arugula, bresaola, and pear salad that was delish. I also had to get pizza I mean, that’s reason to come here. We got the Salsiccia pizza which has sausage and broccolini on it. Totes yummy and simple. I definitely will be back to try the vegan pizza.

This week’s fashionplate takes place at Chelsea French wine bar Le Pif. Met up for some weekday summertime rose action. Both the bar and restaurant were both pretty empty, there were a few people finishing up at the bar while I was sitting down and one table of diners. The bartender was nice and let us try the driest rose, I forgot which one it was but it was refreshing and not to sweet just the way I like my rose. We also got a cheese plate to share which was very good. It’s a cute little neighborhood spot, I just wish they had AC, my only compliant it was very warm and humid with the heatwave going on of late. This week’s fashionplate is just in time for the holiday weekend. I decided to rock our classic Bianca tank to dinner with the bestie at the Smith. As all of the locations of the Smith this location was fairly busy and full of lots of people straight from work. We got some rose and decided to split the crab cake tots which were very good. I went healthy-ish and got the chopped farmhouse salad which was very good. The bestie got brick pressed chicken. I love their mac and cheese too. Sad there are no more meatballs on the menu though. Overall the smith is a solid, classic standby. See how I styled this fashionplate below.
