Check out this week’s fashionplate featuring one of our super comfy bamboo jersey teeshirts at Upstate sister resto Edwin & Neal’s Fish Bar. Had a ressie here to meet one of my besties for a quick week day catch up dinner. We got some wine and then proceeded to order some raw oysters which were solid. My friend got the fried fish sandwich which was ok but nothing special. The fries were seasoned which was yummy. I got the fish tacos which I enjoyed. I also got a the potato and corn has which was solid. The crowd was mostly locals and it was about half to a 3/4 full around 7:45 during the week. The service was a little rushed but it is a decent spot to check out. See how I styled this fashionplate below.
This week’s fashionplate is the new German spot in my hood Studio Kraut. As being part German I like my schnitzles and spatzle. They have happy hour every day except Saturday with $5 beers, $6 house drinks and $7 wines. Cheers to that. I’ve been twice now and on the last visit I wanted to be cute and cozy for staying power through the evening to night and opted to wear our new F/W16 Rita hoodie tunic. The wines are a good value and they give you a solid pour They have both German and domestic beers too which is pretty dope. I’ve tried some food the sliders and fries are solid. I love the Berlin mac & cheese with the egg noodles amazeballs. Also love the bed with the faux fur for the perfect insta /snapchat sitch. See how I styled this fashionplate with all the deets below.
This week’s fashionplate keeps things light and healthy. I love indulging in decadent meals as well as eating clean and healthy. I’ve been wanting to check out the new vegetarian restaurant on University Place- Nix. My dining companion got a ressie here around 7:30 and the place was packed for early in the week. We opted for a nice red wine and started with a few of the dips with both the bread and veggies. The eggplant was our favorite but the hummus and labneh were also amazing. Then we moved on to the jicama salad and the roasted cucumbers, both which were amazing. We obviously had to get the greatly touted fry bread and this was basically an orgasm in your mouth. The tofu skin pockets were also great and similar to enchiladas. The spinach and dandelion pie was also amazing. We were stuffed but there are still more things I will definitely be back to try. This might be my new favorite veggie resto.
The crowd was more gender balanced than most veggie places because Nix has delicious plant based foods that even meat eaters adore. I rocked our new Katy leopard print blouse which matched perfectly with our booth as you can see. See all the OOTD deets for this fashionplate below.
