This week’s fashionplate takes place at the latest location of Parm in Battery Park City in Brookfield Place. I decided to rock our Eva lace kimono for this carb filled dinner. This location is much larger than the original Nolita spot, there isn’t really a need to make a res. We were seated promptly but after that the service slid and was a little too slow. We started with the mozz ball which is good but didn’t come with bread, but sidenote to Parm I want the mozz sticks back on the menu. Stuck to classic red wine which was solid We also got baked clams, eggplant parm, baked ziti and chicken parm. The quality just wasn’t as amazing as the original location although one standout was I liked how they changed their eggplant parm to a bunch of thin layer reminiscent of a lasagna. I will probably stick to Nolita or the UWS Parm locations for the future. There were lots of families who live in the area there and a few people who work in the area. Another fun show and brunch with the fam for this fashionplate. La Pecora Bianca is a bright and airy Italian cafe. We decided to check it out for a late Sunday brunch. We started off with the trio of toasts which were amazing. We also got the farro salad which was very good. Everyone loved their entrees-the eggs benedict, the veggie lasagna the french toast and the ricotta whole wheat pancake were all very good. I stole my sister’s specialty coffee drink which is pictured and was amazing. They were out of most of the bread basket which was kind of a bummer but all in all it was a nice brunch. Service was a little slow but it was busy. Definitely would have breakfast meetings here earlier in the am. See how I styled this new hoodie dress for this fashionplate below:
