Sometimes you have to have a cheat day and indulge a little. For this fashionplate I definitely indulged and had a decadent dinner at Sadelle’s in Soho. I decided to dress up a bit and rock our Ali polka dot romper. Sadelle’s is a Jewish appetizing shop with bagels, lox, whitefish and more during the day. Come nighttime it’s transformed into a candlelit non pretentious caviar den complete with house infused vodkas. My dining companion and I were seated upstairs at a great table overlooking the bottom floor of the restaurant, such a fab view. I was sticking to sparkling water since it was still Dry-unary. However my dining companion tried the beet cocktail which was fab. The complimentary truffle studded brioche is beyond, I need to get this for takeout and eat 4 loaves in the privacy of my apartment. We knew we were going in for it and ordered the Royal Transmontanous caviar which came complete with rye toast points, blinis, POTATO PANCAKES and all the condiments. I would’ve been happy with this alone as my meal, you get a good portion for 2 people. This caviar was extremely creamy and luxe and all the accompaniments were on point. We didn’t stop there though, we also ordered the pigs in a blanket which were amazing and a great contrast of high and low culinary excitement. As something a little lighter we picked the scallops which were also great. The meal from start to finish was amazing, our waiter and the whole staff at Sadelle’s are beyond accommodating. Definitely a place to splurge for downtown caviar service.
Now on to the fashion part of this fashionplate. Most patrons were part of the fashion crowd and Soho locals, so feel free to dress to impress. At dinnertime this spot is not as packed as during breakfast/brunch so you get to enjoy a nice leisurely dinner. See how I styled our Ali romper and all the OOTD deets below.
This week’s fashionplate takes us to Seamore’s in Nolita that features healthier renditions with a twist on classic dishes. We ended up grabbing an early dinner here on a frigid day. Since I’ve been eating healthy this month, I snuck a few bites of the bestie’s apps. I started with a refreshing cucumber aqua fresca and we stuck to sparkling water. Always nice to have besties who support Dry-unary! I then ordered the tuna poke to start which was delish, I skipped the chips as I thought they were overkill but my friend stole a few to dip in it. He got the clam chowder to start which is made with coconut milk and was a nice lighter version. He also got the fried avocado which he thought was just ok. I absolutely adored my seared fish tacos and he enjoyed his fried fish tacos. All in all a great place to grab dinner or lunch. Make sure to come early the place started filling up as we were finishing our meal. Now on to the fashion part of the fashionplate. There was a mix of locals, foodies instagraming their meals and tourists. See how I styled our Lana charcoal joggers below.
This week’s fashionplate kicks off my modified Dry-uanary with yummy comfort vegan fare at By Chloe in the village. I decided to dress in layers with my pink multi-fabric Bianca top. This place is still crazy crowded when my bestie and I decided to grab a casual catch up dinner. We waiting on line to order our food and looked for tables indoor but there were none so we ended up grabbing a table outside. Once our buzzers went off we were ready to dig in. I got the guac burger which I loved, I might or might not be eating way too much avocado and black beans this month. Shhh. My girl got the regular burger which she liked a lot. We split the mac & cheese which was solid and the fries which tasted like normal fries. I also got a pineapple juice which was a great way to wash it all down. Next time I want to try the Quinoa taco or kale casear salads but I had both of those things I made myself this week.
Now on to the fashion part of this fashionplate. This was a heavily female dominated crowd, lots of besties like us catching up. Both trendy downtown girls and girls who just finished barre or soul and needed to refuel. See how I styled my look below.
This week’s fashionplate features our Chrissie cross print bodysuit at Holland House. My bestie and me decided to go here drinks the day before New Year’s Eve. I also needed dinner. There were A LOT of dudes here. Ladies, if you want to be in the minority run here. They have a ton of craft beers but we opted for our low cal Vodka sodas. The bartenders are super friendly and even kept giving us rounds of Jameson on the house. After a few Ketel sodas and Jamo shots I decided to order the truffle grilled cheese with fries. It was yummy and decadent and got the job done of filling me up. The fries were super crispy too which I love. The next few fashionplates might be more healthy as New Years intentions are in effect for now so this was one of the last few days of loading up on my favs-carbs, cheese and fries. They also have skeeball which is fun. See how I styled this fashionplate below.
