This week’s fashionplate features our oversized cozy Mia sweater. Since I’m uber petite I decided to rock it as a dress/tunic. You can see all the OOTD below. I’ve been wanting to to check out Mother of Pearl for a while so after an afternoon of holiday shopping and an early dinner we decided to head down to the East Village for some more cocktails. We started with some shark bites which come in these adorable shark shaped glasses. These were good and stronger than expected. We also did some of their Chewy shots which are similar to fireball, clearly we were looking to get turnt before ten. They had some speciality holiday cocktails as well so i went with a gingerbread hot toddy that came in an adorable skull mug. Clearly I’m all about the novelty tiki glasses. Next time I definitely will check out some of the snacks. The bartenders and waitresses were friendly and the bar and tables are super cute. A great addition to an area I already frequent, Miss Lily’s 7A is my summer jam at least 3 times a month lol.
Since this was during the holidays and on the early side of the evening it wasn’t very crowded, a mix of young locals and trendier tourists. See the OOTD for this fashionplate below.

This week’s fashionplate was a birthday dinner my bestie took me to at The Ribbon on the upper west side. It was one of the cold days in this unusually warm December. I decided to rock our Natalie blouse in a brown floral print for dinner. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. We decided to get a nice red wine perfect for this cold day. We then proceeded to split the flatbread which was delish, After that my friend got the ribbon steak that was basically steak frites. I opted for the branzino as I had already had a dinner at American Cut and a Venezuelan resto where I had steak. The branzino was cooked and seasoned to perfection. We also got sides of the creamed spinach and kase spatzle both of which were decadent and tasty. We opted out of dessert because we decided to stop by the Magnolia nearby. The crowd veered on the older side of locals. See how I styled this fashionplate below and all the OOTD deets.
If I die bury me inside the Louis store. Or inside Genuine Superette. Joking, kind of. I was mad hungry when I met a gf here for this week’s fashionplate. I nursed a glass of red wine while waiting for her and then I was finally able to order! I got the Spicy Smokehouse burger special that came with fries and a Tecante. Pretty good deal. The burger was delish and the fries were crispy and getting a practically free beer thrown in is never a bad thing. I also tried the emerald city cocktail, I love places that combine green juice and liquor. I definitely will be back. Afterwards we checked out Genuine Liquorette that is in the back and you kind of make your own cocktails, so fun. I was dressed cas for this girls night and rocked our Jacqueline striped kimono , see how I styled this fashionplate below.
This week’s fashionplate features our Eva lace kimono at L’amico. After a fun holiday afternoon with the fam we were famished and I know Italian food is something everyone likes. We abstained from drinking and just ordered Pellgrino and sodas. We proceeded to split a few things. The eggplant crostini was very good but we should’ve gotten two orders for 4 people. The roasted fall vegetables were amazing and satisfying. We then got two pizzas- the charred kale which was a little spicy and very tasty and a plain cheese pie that was also very good. We then got a special pasta with short ribs that was amazing. We ended to meal on a sweet note and opted for the caramel and chocolate desserts both of which were decadent and espressos all around.
Now on to the fashion part of the fashionplate. L’amico was pretty busy for a Friday afternoon, with both business lunches and leisurely lunches. The crowd was very mixed with young and old and tourists alike. The service was good although a little slow. See how I styled this kimono for this fashionplate and all the ootd deets below!
This week’s fashionplate takes place at Madison Square Tavern a new gastopub near the Garden and Penn Station. It was a good half way point to meet a friend who got out of work late in the garment district on a rainy day. I decided to rock our new Yameen shorts for this catch up session. The bar was super crowded and it took a while to get a glass of red. When my friend arrived we decided to get a table instead of standing near the door. I proceeded to order another glass of wine and she ordered one of the specialty cocktails with fig vodka. We also decided to get a snack- the mushroom risotto which was pretty good. Service was a bit slow but the manager was friendly and apologized. They opened fairly recently so probably still have some kinks to work out. See how I styled our Yasmeen shorts below for the fashion part of this fashionplate.
